I am fairly new to FL although not new to guns. I was hoping to get some help on some decent ranges in the "South Florida" area.
I am familiar with a few (Nexus, Alfies, Bass Pro Shop)
Since I have moved here I have only actually shot at Nexus. Never really wanted to go to Bass to shoot....figured it would be way to crowded.
I've been thinking about maybe getting a membership with the Hollywood Pistol & Rifle club (but I have to be sponsored by a member) so if anyone here is a member or has any insight on the range I would really appreciate it.
I'm looking for a range without too much of a wait and decent prices. Around this time of year here indoor ranges are the go to because of the heat, but I don't mind an outdoor range either.
My take on Nexus:
I actually like it. Yes the set up and signs/lights do make it a little "sterile" or "institutional" feeling haha. But in a weird way it's nice. They require a membership ($10) prices are....ok
$15/hr Paper Target
$25/hr Nexus Lanes (virtual targets)
There have been many reviews on Nexus so I won't go into too much detail. A little pricey as I would like to shoot twice a week, so looking for a new go to range.
But for now until I meet people here and "find my way around" it'll have to do.
Any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated!
