Browning .25 auto guys... are the FN 1905 and Browning Baby mags interchangeable?

I have an FN 1905/1906 and just noticed that the 100-year-old magazine has finally cracked at the rear of the lip and is causing feeding problems (cartridge can slip out at the rear of the case).

Original FN/Browning mags are scarce and pricey... will the $20 mec-gar ones for the browning baby work? How about the colt 1908 .25?

Not the same gun, not the same mag. The FN 1905 is larger than the Baby and a different design.

A mag for the Colt Model 1908 should work....it is the same design as the FN 1905.

They were, but the Baby Browning is a different design. The Baby is smaller, lighter and does not have the grip safety of the Vest Pocket.

The "Vest Pocket" (FN 1905/06 and the Colt 1908) are basically the same gun:

I realize they're different guns, which is why I asked. as I understand it the Baby was basically a refined/updated design based on the earlier guns. And in some cases since the tooling etc. for magazines is already done, sometimes companies use the same mags as previous designs, or other designs on the market. I just don't have two to compare side by side... and I don't want to spend $20 to find out for sure.

There are some slight dimensional differences but the FN 1906 and the Colt 1908 Vest Pocket are basically the same gun.

i need the spring for a bauer .25 auto matic i was cleaning it for a friend and got overzealous and lost the magazine catch spring and the damn gun needs it to actuate the mag disconnect for the pin to drop

When Browning/FN stopped importing the Baby Browning, Bauer made a Stainless copy. Parts are interchangeable. Try checking with Numrich Gun Parts.

I think the FN 1905 is compatible with the Colt 1908, but not the Baby Browning.
