Why doesn't Browning offer at least one version of the BHP with an extended tang so that those of us with larger hands can shot it without getting bloodied? Dennis

I may be mistaken but IIRC novaks might offer that as a mod to a HP. Think i saw it in a gun rag years ago just cant remember which smith housde offered it. I know robar does it for glocks, but seems like out of all the hP's they have produced they might have offered one like that, but hey they may have and we just dont know it!

The reason Browning doesn't offer one is that Browning has never manufactured the HiPower. They owned the distributions rights in America from FN and have never shown any interest in "Custom" guns. And their stock on current HP's are limited to just a couple of models. And since their retail price now is over $700.00 think of what it might be with the modification.

Since the HiPower doesn't have a removeable web safety the only way is to have a custom gunsmith build a extended web strap to protect the hands web. Other options are changing or modifying the existing hammer, changing the way you hold your pistol while shooting, or wearing gloves. I own several HP's and only one likes to bite me excessively.

I had a T series for a while. I now have a MKIII.

I also have large hands.

If you just stop trying to snug your hand up so close to the top of the grip you will stop getting bitten.

You won't lose control with a grip a 1/4 inch lower but the bite will disappear.

Thats what worked for me, give it a try.
