I have an Auto-5 12 gauge from 1931 and am looking for a 20 gauge to match it. Obviously doesnt have to be exactly the same but would prefer it was Belgian made not Japanese.

Could anyone give me an idea of what I would be looking to pay for this. I inherited the 12 ga so I dont know from that.

I saw a beautiful one that was listed on gunbroker at one point but it was $1200!!! The wood was premier and there was some engraving on the gun which I am sure added to the value.

Appreciate any help. Thanks

A decent modern semiauto off the rack will cost that. You expect a pristine antique with high-end wood and engraving to be cheaper?

Note that old 20s (of many types) tend to be higher in price than 12s, too. Bubba always seemed to want a 12, just like now, so 20s are rarer. Those who really love shotguns tend to like them, though.

If I had the money I would have bought the one on gunbroker, it was gorgeous. I was hoping to stay under $1000, but maybe thats not a possibility.

My great grandfathers gun is by no means mint, so I dont need a pristine one to match it, just thought since I will never get rid of the gun and shoot well with it, I would add a 20 if possible.

$950 or so.
Round butt, Long VR bbl, factory open chokes, gold trigger will add $$$.

Non-factory engraving tends to lower collector value, but all that matters is you like it.

Around the DFW area, you'll not easily find a Belgian A5 in 20ga for less than a grand unles it needs MAJOR restoration work. Online (GB or AA) doesn't seem to be any better.

I guess I snagged one then:

I bought this gun a month ago, it is no longer for sale. Sorry for the confusion.

Browning A-5 made in Belgium vented rib 20 gauge asking $650
please pm name and contact number if interested

There are no cracks, yr.1961, modified choke constriction, 26in

There around if you look, I actually brokered/found this deal for a friend in Kentucky

To bad your not looking for a 12, I would make you a heck of a deal on a 1954 model clean 2 owner gun
