A couple days ago I got to fire a couple very nice semi's in 30-06. Browning BAR and a Benilli R1. Both were very nice, both synthetic stock, I only got 1 shot each. First the Browning: Nice classic lookig rifle, fit well. As I understand the are 2 versions, one in a Lightwieght stalker and the other is the Longtrack stalker. Anyone know what the differance between the 2 are?
Next the Benilli R1. First time I have ever shot a Bennilli of any type, very different looking, but sorta cool. I liked it. It also shot very nice, maybe (not sure) a little less recoil than the Browning. It had what I was told a Comfort-something stock. Anyone have extensive first hand knowlege of the Bennilli?
Both seemed about the same weight, light for a semi. Anyway I really like both. I know both are big $$, guess you get what you pay for.
The temptation is running wild!
