Hello all,
I recently purchased a browning BDA .45 (Sig manufacture), and I need a second 7 round mag for it. I have been told the mags for the newer model Sig 220 will not fit. This is info I am trying to confirm. If so what should I look for in the model diffferences between the styles? Also, does any one have a good used mag or two for this weapon that would be for sale? In the CCW class I have to have a pair of them to complete the class. Thanks in advance for any info and help locating a spare.

You might get magazines from Browning Corporation in Arnold, Mo. I live two hours south of there, and had a European style Sig 220, and it was the same magazine as the Browning. I bought them at the parts counter, and had to be careful not to tell them it was for a Sig, or they wouldn't sell them to me.

$75 for a BDA mag?

What has this guy been smoking? He sure doesn't have many bids!:p I wonder why?

I bought my BDA .45 ACP in 1980 ($369-full retail), and have enjoyed it ever since. I have 3 spare mags, all BDA. I was worried a while ago, about what to do if I needed more mags, and a friend of mine who has a current (well 4-5 years old) Sig P220 loaned me a couple of mags. Worked fine in my gun.

These were the new style mags, with the cutout for the pushbutton (colt style) mag catch button. They latched in and worked fine. Just don't try to use a mag with a bumper pad on the base. Those won't work.

Hope this helps. Don't even think of spending $75 for "original BDA" mags, unless you have the gun, manual, and box but are missing the mag, and want to put together an "original" package. Other wise, it's a waste of money.

Course, it is your money to waste, so do what you think best.
