Hi everone, this is my first post on this very informative forum. I have a chance to purchase a used Browning BDM for $275 . It is in good condition. Is this a good price? And is this a good pistol for ccw?

I've handled these before but never owned or shot one. This gun, like the older Hi-Power it is styled after, is very slender and flat, and the grip is thin as well, thanks to not having to make room for a coil mainspring. It does have a somewhat odd and counterintuitive decocker operation, and being able to switch between DA/SA and DAO operation is a clever bit of engineering, but IMO serves no real purpose. If you like - or can live with - these features, $275 seems OK.

If its in good shape, that sounds like a steal to me. The Lone Haranguer is right about them being different, but when they first came out I wanted one. But it seems to me to be a really good deal.
By the way, Welcome to THR! We always have room for one more voice (So to speak)
BTW extra mags might be a problem for the BDM, it seems to me the gun came out right before the AWB and so were generally limited to 10 round mags.

Just my .02
