Once again, wondering around unsupervised in a gun store

I spotted this Browning a few weeks back and really liked it but the lack of a threaded barrel steered me away.

Then today, it occurred to me that just because I have a .22 suppressor doesn't mean every .22 gun needs to be silent. This just felt like a high value gun at $350, so I brought her home. I don't think it's even been fired, came with box, manual and a couple mags.

Thought I'd share a couple pics with THR.

I love my Buckmark. Too bad it's hard to find the stuff to keep her fed these days!

Nice buckmark! Just have the barrel threaded (providing you are not breaking any local laws), should only be $50-70 at a gunsmith. They even make compensators with front sights mounted for an increased sight picture, as it looks like on the buckmark you would have to remove a portion of the rail and front sight to thread the barrel, but I could be wrong. I had my S&W 15-22 threaded for $80, and the gunsmith had to buy the barrel removal tool at his (or mine however you look at it) expense.

I talked it over with my 'smith as far as threading goes. You know, I really like this gun the way it is. Someone put a lot of thought into what I perceive as it's near flawless blend of form and function. We both agreed, it will be enjoyed for what it is, not for it might have been, or perhaps what it could be.

My decision was cathartic, I'm going to just shoot the heck out of it and enjoy every trigger pull :)
