Do I have a problem with my Buckmark? It FTF every other round, I have used different ammo in it remington bulk, winchester and CCI mini mags. any advice?

as samurai suggests, it is almost certainly the magazine

22lr are very susceptible to magazine issues as the long skinny cartridge has to be lined up just right.

good luck

and use thread locker on the takedown screws on top of your Buckmark. They shoot loose.

I use only plated, non-waxed ammo in mine. Try another mag, clean the one you have, and try lots of different flavors of ammo.

Hmmm....I've not had any problems with mine, other than the OCCASSIONAL failure to completely eject. The new round chambers but the fired casing gets pinched between slide and receiver.

The last time I cleaned my Buckmark was...three or four bulk paks ago. It just runs.

Q

Is it a new gun?

I had the same issue with mine. I had done what I thought was a "thorough initial cleaning". After a few hundred rounds, I decided another cleaning might help. Turns out I had missed a couple of nooks and crannies, particularly behind the buffer. The tiny drop of factory gunk behind the buffer was the culprit in my case. Browning's factory gunk (yellowish in color) is pretty sticky stuff, and it doesn't seem to take much of it to affect reliability.

I was ready to call Browning and send it back. Glad I saved myself the embarassment!

Assuming this is "Fail to Feed" and not "Fail to Fire" then it would help to hear more about what it's doing. Is the slide just not going fully into battery or is the round jamming or doing something else that stops it from properley entering the chamber? Can you easily drop a round into the chamber and then just have it fall out if you upend the barrel? When clean and dry it should be pretty close to doing this with a round.

Ok I will try and clarify I will load a mag and pull slide fire one or two rounds try to fire and nada pull mag out of gun and eject round out of chamber and reinsert round back into barrel and sometimes it fires mostly on the CCI ammo.

So the fired case completely ejects and the new round is chambered, with the slide in battery? Apparently ready to fire but won't? Sounds to me like you have firing pin issues. Pin gunked up? Not cocking?

You want to be real careful with that. Use only a tiny drop. I used too much and locked mine up solid. I had to take it to the gunsmith to have the screws drilled out. Now I don't use any--I just make sure to tighten the screws every time I shoot the gun.

Mine was made in 1995. After years of shooting mine did the same thing earlier this year. I replaced the buffer, because it had disintegrated, and springs. It runs like a champ again! :)
