ok I have a quick question for you all. I have located a belgium browning high power in 9mm and I am thinking about making a trade.

Here is the sitiuation:

the high power is perfectly functional, but at one time or another had some pretty bad survace rust and now has fairly serious pitting... Not reall deep but its there. Gun is probly 70-75%

I am considering offering up an older remington 700 bdl in 243 that showes its age, but is a very good shooter and is topped with a leupold vx-I 4-12 power scope.

the highpower is priced at 399, and I am not sure what the trade value of my rifle is so im not sure exactly what to do. I dont shoot the 243 any more and it has no sentimental value to me or anything like that.(my collection has become deer rifle heavy so I can spare this one...

If I were to make the trade the browning would most likley be duracoated and used as my truck gun and plinker.

does anyone out there have any advice on this? what would you do?

I like the high power and the only thing wrong is the finish...

the highpower is priced at 399

For $300 to $340 you can get a brand new Argentine FM Hi Power without any rust or pitting from J&G. Because of that I wouldn't consider it a good trade.

thanks guys, I think if the browning was in better condition I would be more tempted... as it is I think I would be getting the short end of the stick... I may offerjust the rifle with no scope, but need to sleep on it first.

thank you for your input
