Good morning fellow high roaders,
I was wondering if the mags are interchangeable between the Browning High Power and the CZ 75 in 9mm. I believe the CZ 75 is a Browning High power clone. Easier to find 10 rd mags for the CZ than for the Browning.
Thanks

In the course of searching for a good price on MecGar magazines for my High Power about a month back I came across several sources for 10 round mags.
Not at all rare. Keep looking , you'll find 'em.

Thanks for the responses and sources. I must have confused the CZ with another model. I do remember there being High Power clones made some time ago. I thought it was CZ but I guess not. I have never held a CZ 75 or I guess I would have known.

Some people will argue that CZ's are the "heir" to the High Power design because of some (repeat - some) ergonomic similarities, similar overall dimensions, a linkless barrel (so not like 1911's) with locking lugs (so not like Glock's or Sig's with just a big fat hood as the locking surface), and the "hi power cuts" on the nose of the original 75 pattern. If you like High Powers, you are likely to like CZ's... but that's as far as it goes.

Here's an article on actual HP clones: http://highpowercollectors.proboards.com/thread/201/copies-browning-high-power

The Hi-Power is more small hand friendly than the CZ 75.

Well, one is SAO (the HP), and the other is usually a DA/SA. Trigger reach is almost always going to be longer on a DA than SAO. There are lots of things that one can do to CZ's to shorten the reach, especially if you're OK with an SAO setup. But I have hands well within the fat part of the bell curve for adult males, so what do I know?

Agree. The HP is actually TOO small for me to get a comfy 2 hand grip on, particularly the slimness of the frame and dust over.

The CZ 75 and the BHP look somewhat alike - you assumption is not that far off. Following, it could be said that the CZ and the BHP are clones if the 1911 as “general function” has the same purpose. However, they are very different handguns in detail and all are great designs - if the mags were interchangeable, life would certainly be easier.
