Any help with info on a BHP S/N 6Txxx? When was it in use and where. Says it is Canadian and is marked AF I think this is Air Force no? Also says No 2 MK 1 Also says Brownig-F.N. 9MM HP Just wondered if this is a WW II relic.

mf-dif I'm in MO not IL or we might have swapped out. First HP I ever run across at a price I can't refuse and I end up not really liking it like my FNH DBc Officers model. This one is scary accurate and feels like it's part of my hand when shooting.
I better restate something about the Capitan. I thing it looks strange with tanget rear sight, and you have to guess at sight picture if target 40 yards or less which is a PIA for me. But the gun is a natural pointer at close range of 15 feet or less just due to ergonomics I guess. I will probably never get rid of it till the government forces me to turn it in in a couple years.
The sights were designed to use with the stock attached. When they are closer to your eye they work well. Now the range marks are overly optimistic but correct for the time. I have an original Inglis with stock and an El Capitan. Thinking about making a red dot mount for the latter. Usually have a .22 conversion on the former.
