I recently acquired a Browning Maxus Sporting Golden Clays. What a delightfully enjoyable shotgun. My primary application is to use along with my Browning Citori 725 Sporting for clay sports. And the Maxus may be put to use doing some upland hunting. Sometimes I like shooting a semi-auto and other times I like the O/U.
Anyway, this Maxus has a 30" barrel and comes with 5 Invector Plus choke tubes. The stock is a gorgeous walnut with high-gloss finish. The receiver is engraved with a scene of game birds transforming into clays. It's been stone reliable and very comfortable to shoot. Browning (built by Miroku in Japan) really did a magnificent job with this beautiful and reliable shotgun. I can recommend this gun!
The wife enjoys it.
She got a picture of me having just busted a true pair on the clays course: rabbit on the ground and bird in the air, with the second shell still in air. I sure love shooting this Maxus!
The Maxus line is extensive, but it isn't so easy to find the higher-grade models in stock. The synthetic black and camo stock models are readily available in most of the big box sporting goods shops.
