Hey guys, I was looking over a shotgun I got from my father. It is a Browning Superposed O/U w/ a serial # of 12001. It is in excellent condition. Anyone know what it would be worth?

An awful lot!!!!

Go here, do a search for Browning Superposed, and find something similiar to yours:
http://www.gunbroker.com/

There were so many different grades and models made over the years, thats the best I can do.

It was made in 1937, and in truly excellent condition, would be worth a bundle!

I sure as hell hope so. If you knew the background story on how I got this thing it would make you smile.

I will take some pix and post them tomorrow.

If 12001 is the whole ser # then it was the "FIRST" one made in 1937. Because 1936 ended with 12000 and 1937 started with 12001.

Here are some pix. They really are crappy but I did the best I could in the two minutes free I had to do it. Also, hold the comments on my nasty feet :barf:

You know, Christmas is just around the corner, and that would make a dandy gift. I like red wrapping paper. No bows or ribbons needed.
