While my uncle was home for christmas he had the chance to show me his old Browning Sweet Sixteen Semi-Auto shotgun. The gun was in great shape and he had 2 barrels with it, one with a polychoke. He was wondering how much it could be worth since he said it was made in St. Louis, before the Browning manufacturing moved overseas (increasing the value). Does anyone have any idea on how much it could be worth, or how I could find out for him?

Depending on when it was made and the condition, anywhere from $600 - $1200.

If one of the barrels had a vent rib and has matching serial numbers, it would be on the higher end of the spectrum. If the polychoke barrel is the original and is a plain barrel, you fall to the opposite end.

It's really hard to tell with all the variations out there. The later Belgium models before Miroku started making them probably command the most on the open market.
