Bruns Clothing in Watertown SD makes custom jackets starting at $65. One really nice option is a built in concealed carry pocket. Last spring I had them make me one with a number of custom options and the jacket was still only about 100 bucks.

I really love mine. The construction quality is second to none. The company was really easy to work with. I can carry a full-size 1911 in the carry pocket without any printing, though if I completely bend over at the waist, I think the gun might be able to slide out (I might add a velcro closure).

Anyway, those of you looking to expand your cold season concealed carry options with a low-key, value packed, american made jacket might want to check out Bruns.

No, I'm not a paid promoter... I just really like my Bruns Jacket and I like to promote american made products and companies that are pro 2A.

I have had carry pockets sewed into two of my lined Jeans Jackets. The cost was five bucks each.........

I'm glad there is a company out there catering to the public but like the previous poster. I've paid for alterations to my winter jackets. I have two nice little old Korean ladies who do my alterations for me and they've modified two ski jackets and one old burgundy leather jacket for me so I can carry my Ruger P90, Glock 23, Glock 20, Taurus PT 99, etc. so on. I brought them a crappy three dollar air pistol I bought at the flea market to use for specs in doing the pockets. The pockets have clasp buttons (I think they are called that).

Funny thing, they asked to hold onto the air pistol as they were able to shop the idea to many of their customers who they knew were in law enforcement and such. So they smile whenever they see me and joke with me about ideas. I try to invite them to the range but they turn me down.

Yeah you can go the premium angle, but you can also ask nice little old ladies at your dry cleaners who do alterations if they can do the pockets for you. I paid $20 for all the work they did, granted I've been going there for over five years and helped them out with their yelp page and have brought them more customers down the years.

Meh. Looks like it would be slow on the draw and the gun would pull that side of the coat down.
