Buckmark Question

Are the grips on all Buckmarks interchangeable? Or are they different?

Will a URX grip fit on a UDX and that fit on a Camper? Or any other combination?

I dont know all of the details of the answer but gernerally the answer is "No".


From what Ive gathered on www.rimfirecentral.com the frames are in fact different and the grips do not interchange.

I have heard that too, but have not seen it anywhere in black and white.

I have a URX and was going to pick up another Buckmark. Like to keep things simple. Will probably get another URX instead of one of the others.

You may want to try the Browning section of rimfirecentral.com. They specialize in...BuckMarks.

I am 99% sure that there are 2 current grip sizes. I believe the entry level Camper model has a different grip configuration from higher-end UDX models. But I am not sure which ones...

FWIW, the Camper has a grip configuration very similar to a 1911 with arched mainspring housing. I just bought a "converter" grip that allows any 1911 grip to be used. It is awesome for those of us used to the 1911. I will post pics shortly...

Do you have a before and after pic from the rear? How does it change the width?

Unfortunately, I don't have a before and after photo.

I will take a rear photo and post it for you though. I would say it is a smidgen wider than a 1911 (but that's not a bad thing), and it is definitely wider than the stock Camper grip--which is a good thing because the Camper grip was too thin and didn't feel right to me. I have the extra-wide palmswell Hogue grips on it, which are perhaps a bit wide--but way better than the stock Camper alternative.
