All toys Walther SP22 M3 or buckmark?

With CDNN's prices on the M3 SP22 the gun $269, 2 magazines, the walther nano dot, laser, weights, fiber optic sights all for the price of a standard (non camper) URX gripped buckmark.

Does this situation sound tempting for anyone else or is the buckmark just good period-no exceptions?

id have to go with either the buckmark or perhaps a Ruger mkII/III of some sort...
i dont know it the Walther P22's shortcomings have carried over to the SP22, but i wouldnt be terribly confident...also, i really do not like the bolt handles on the SP22, as to cock it, you about put your hand in front of the muzzle...no bueno

i have a sp22...it's a little tack driver...no way near p22...m3 should be off the chart accurate...the only thing i didn't care for was the silver slide cover, that i had annodized black....fyi, p22 threaded barrel adaptor works on the sp22, if your so incline for screw on fun...gpr

I'd spend a little more and get a Ruger or a Buckmark.

I have no experience with the SP22 but I've read many positive reviews about them. However I did own a P22 and I couldn't sell it fast enough, I was completely unimpressed with it. Like the P22 the SP22 is an Umarex creation with the Walther name on it and just another reason to buy a Ruger if you ask me.

The Buckmark however is a great gun, here's my Camper....

I bought this Buckmark Camper URX a few months ago. It feels great, shoots dead accurately and has never a failure of any kind on any ammo....How often do you hear that about a .22 pistol? This one was a package deal from Browning, incl: FO sights, 3 10 round mags, URX grip and a soft case....for $385

I got the same package as MikePaiN, except mine is not stainless for $320.

Between the 2, I would rather have the Buckmark.

In youtubes it is obvious the SP22 has less muzzle flip than the Ruger or Browning.

At this moment I am thinking I may call CDNN this weekend and get the SP-22 M3 over the Buck Mark.

I like the Buck Mark, but that M3 is a screaming deal for all the goodies...

My brother has the M3. He has only put <100 rounds through it, all bulk. He said it jammed (not sure how exactly) quite a bit. Of course, he has not taken it apart and cleaned it at all yet. And it's not broken in. I hope to get him down here soon so I can do an initial cleaning and then test it out.

Tempted to get myself one if his turns out to work well. I love how it feels in my hand.

Get a real gun, get the Buckmark.

I've got a Ruger Mk. II. Great gun.

My wife's got a Buck Mark with the URX grip, just like Mike's. Also a great gun. The Ruger is a bit less sensitive to ammo, and seems to feed the cheap bulk crap better. The Buck Mark has a better trigger. (in stock form)

But the Walther is a unique design. Not copying the old Colt Woodsman, as the Buck Mark seems to have done.

The Walthers are not selling because they do not look conventional. They don't have an external slide or bolt ears, like every other 22 out there; it's all internal except the cocking nubs. The only drawback I can see is that the grip is made for men's hands. Not many women I know could handle it.

The Walther seems to have best-in-class sight radius for the barrel length, and that looks like a serious target trigger:

that just means that their is a good amount of take up before you actually release the hammer....your dividing the trigger weight between 2 stages, rather than all on the sear at once
its nice because as you take up the trigger, when you hit that second stage, you know your but a hairs movement from firing, rather than a surprise break as you add pressure

for 20 bucks from CDNN you can also get the slim small grip. Tempted on that too.

So M3-$269, Walther Nano red dot or Walther Scope-$50, Weight set $20, fiber optics-$9, slim grip (comes with med)-$20....
