Rupestris posted about this knife awhile back. Thanks to his heads up I finally got around to picking one up ($15 shipped new off ebay).
I liked the look of Bucks Hartsook before but I don't like S30V steel. The Smidgen is Buck's 420HC.
Blade length is 1 7/8 " and the whole knife is 4 1/4". It comes with a paracord loop for a necker, but also with carabineer with a built in bottle opener. The knife is real thin ,1/16" ,so if you want to cut through a car it isn't for you. It is an excellent slicer. And it came arm hair sharp out of the box.
With my CRKT Dogfish..
(dark photos, shot inside cause its raining here)
And for a sense of scale with my sons Case Soddie JR and my Vic Hiker
If your State allows fixed blades, and you think you might like a pocket fixed blade, this is one to consider. Would I use it for SD ? Only if it is the only thing I had on me. But it is great for any cutting chore that I have needed a knife for thus far. This will be staying on my key ring for along time to come.
