Hello Everyone,

I'm building a .458 SOCOM AR and need some advice.

I'm trying to decide between three .458 builds. I'm budget-limited, so I can either spend a lot on the upper and very little on the lower or spend roughly equally between the two general parts.

These are my three choices:

1. Tromix Complete Upper and cheap lower.
2. Aero Precision XL Complete Upper (w/ Aero BCG) and POF Lower.
3. Aero Precision XL Upper w/o BCG, Tromix BCG, and POF lower.

I'm kinda leaning towards #2 or #3, but I'm unsure of the performance of Aero-assembled uppers. I've heard great things about Tromix, Wilson, and Black Rain and bad things about Bear Creek et al. I haven't seen ANY reviews about fully-assembled Aero uppers, only certain parts (like the stripped upper).

And advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Marksman is !000% correct. Tromix is the only option you should be considering. Tony is a great person to deal with and the only one I would trust to get it correct. I bought all the parts and assembled myself, but he sells complete uppers with bolts as well.

Make sure you get the bolt from him too.

My Tromix runs 100%.
