A Rimrock 225 grain gascheck bullet loaded to upper end standard velocity according to Buffalo Bore. The bullets tend to fragment after full expansion -particularly those that hit bone. 1066 fps from a 5.5" bbl Colt Single Action.
A 255 grain RNFP generally loaded in 45 Colt for standard velocity or Cowboy action shooting. This one does 919 from a Jerico /Baby Desert Eagle and 983 from this Colt 1911. No functional issues from the Eagle but, on one occasion, the last round in the magazine flew out of the port instead of into the chamber. Buffalo Bore suggests strong recoil springs if these loads are to be shot very much. It is termed a "Black Bear Defense" load.
