Buffalo horn grips on my 1849 pocket

Just a quick project I worked on on my day off. The fit could definitely be better but I'm pretty happy with them for my first pistol grips.
Buffalo horn works fairly easy but the smell is pretty bad

I'll try to get better pictures when I can

A place called masecraft supply is where I got the horn. There 2"x6" smooth black. I also got there barked version but it had some cracks

WAY better than ANY plastic grips IMO
I have 1 whole polished water buffalo horn that I picked up years ago with the intention of making revolver grips out of it.

Mrs. found a few of those somewhere... As it turns out some of the honeydew list items require more than one!

That's one set of Beautiful grips you have there. Probably the best looking set I've ever seen on a revolver. Good job brother

I got some better pictures and you can see where I messed up the fitting
They actually have some chatoyance to them in the sun like tigerseye

The one pair of grips I made for a C&B revolver were just a bit undersized after finishing was complete.
I then "fit" the brass grip frame to fit the grips and then they fit together perfectly (almost).
Could be an option for you if you want them the end result to look like a better fit.

To be honest your fit is better than some I've seen from the factory.
