Buffer retainer stuck

I was building a new lower polymer 80 and when I pushed down the buffer retainer it was hard to get it in and now it is stuck in the hole. Any advice from the wise folks here on THR would be welcome.

You can't grab the tip with some needle nose pliers and wiggle it out?

Tried for a good while then soaked with CLP waited 2 hr's pulled strait up with hemostats and got it out.,I'll ream it out a bit before it goes back in.
