Built my first AR-15 lower tonight on a PSA stripped lower and PSA Lower parts kit, put a magpul MOE grip and hinged trigger guard. Camera is dead will post a pic when I can.

Did a functions check and everyone checked out good to go.

Really wasn't that hard, I followed a diagram and build video on youtube, all in all took me about hour and half to complete. It helped that i knew my way around the weapon and nomenclature. Cost was $150.00 plus tax for all included parts. I am very happy with the outcome. I know fully comprehend why they call this the erector set of guns.

Well, first part of my .300 AAC build has begun, i will keep you updated on the progress on the upper and will definitely post pics when its complete.

Building lowers is so easy I don't understand why anyone would buy an assembled AR. With a PSA lower & upper you can get a great gun for a really cheap price.

I really Agree, AleMonkey,

It really isn't that hard, and doesn't take that long or requires only a few specialty tools. You do save a good amount of cash. Money wasn't my only motivation for this build. I wanted something that was mine, that I built, and I wanted to customize to my own liking. Yes, I could have ordered it that way from a host of assemblers. But this rifle is mine, and I built it, thats a cool feeling to me.

Good job Bob! Bet you didn't know you now have BRD, an illness for which there is no known cure, only medication. The most successful treatment is building more, and more, and more, and buying accessories, mags, ammo, more lowers, new barrels.............

Those PSA lowers are a great deal right now -- will be attempting a build of myself soon (as it comes in!)

Those under 21 can't buy a stripped reciever if it doesn't have a buttstock attached from a FFL.
