So I'm looking at these two rifles.

http://www.classicarms.us/
BULGARIAN SSR-85C - $600
http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct444.aspx
Ak-103 $889

Can someone do a comparison for me. They look sort of similar being all black.

Is the price difference worth it? I'm just looking for a rifle that will last a long time that isn't going to require much maintence and is going to just work when I need it to.

$$ is a factor but I had a buddy that bought a $400 WASR and lets just say it was not "AK-reliable" as soon as he bought it. (magazine wobble, FTF issues, etc)
Thanks

from what i gather, bulgarian quality is on par with their russian counterparts. I think you'll be good with either one. I'd get a cheaper one and get more ammo, but that's just me. Besides, if the wife asked, i can almost get away saying how i saved a couple hundred bux buying the cheaper one.

Centerfiresystems has the SSR-85 for $529. Get ready to hear what a terrible rifle it is with mismatched parts. I heard they are decent but I have never held one or inspected one or took one apart.

The rifle comes with a heavier receiver decent trigger and a a chrome lined barrel. The piston and bolt carrier are also chrome I believe.

Anyways if you bought one and didn't like it I'm sure they would take it back.
