I have some Hornaday 150 Gr. Round Nose bullets on the way and I want to load them in my .30-30 cases. I would like to know about load data. I have load data using 150 grain Speer Flat Point bullets and I have the powders for that bullet but I cannot find any load data using the Hornaday 150 Gr. Round Nose bullet. Can I use the same data (as far as powders are concerned) as the Speer Flat Point bullet but swap the Hornaday 150 gr. round nose bullet in the .30-30 cases? Thanks all, 74man

Myth or no, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable running that profile in a lever gun in .30-30. Lot of recoil, and think the LRP has enough area to make good contact with a .30 cal RN. I'd do it in a 45 colt or .45-70, but I think I'd pass in a .30-30. I always opt for a flat point on my .30-30. Honestly, I've not seen much RN load data for .30-30. I'll look in my books for you. IN the mean time, try your powder company, most of great load data. load data dot com is good too and worth the measely 30 bucks a year or whatever it costs.
