I am seriously considering a SIG 556. This rifle comes with a 1:7 twist rate barrel. My question is: how well will this stabilize 55 and 62 grain bullets?
i dont think they make a .224" bullet that it will not stabilize at that twist rate. it is when you get into the other direction ( 1 in 10-12) that you start eunning into bullet stabilization trouble. my handi rifle has a slower twist rat (1 in 10) and it will not stabilize 75 grain a max bullets. i know, i tried some before i knew anything about twist rates. so now i stick with 60 and lighter grain bullets.
