Ive been useing 124-125 gr bullets in 9mm and 357 sig for a few years with no real problems but ive talked go a couple of folks that say their 147-148 grains can shoot good and cycle with less recoil, this doesnt make sense to me. If its true , could someone try to explain or tell me where to look?
I have bullseye, bluedot, aa#9 and herco.
Thanks tommy cole

Ps i should have started with, this is for light loads for practice only.

I have a large variety of bullets that I load for 9mm practice loads. I can't really tell a difference with them bc they aren't loaded very hot. Full powered SD loads using 124gr golden sabres and 147gr Winchester silvertips you can tell a slight difference. This is mainly through a 1911 so the weight of the gun may be coming into play. But for me, there isn't enough of a difference to choose one over the other based on the recoil.

Ha, you guys crack me up.

147s are horrible in my sr9. Ive only tried factory though. 158s even worse. Hadnt tried reloads because Im afraid to buy a box with a bunch of em.

147 gr cast shoot great out of my P226. 3.5 gr of W231 gives a relatively soft push and is enough to lock the slide back on an empty mag.

I've also shot Zero's 147 gr JHP with good results.
