I have shot a couple matches (Ohio State and National). A LOT of practice needed. How long does it take to be classified by the NRA? Not much fun shooting in the Master Class. At least not yet!
 
Great question. You should only ever shoot in Master class one time-unless you shoot a Master class score that one time. After that, you use your temporary classification from a score book that you record your scores in yourself. These books are free and should be available at the match. Someone should have told you. Here is from the rule book:

...In the second tournament in the new type, the Score Record Book is used rather than the assigned classification.

If you can't get one local, get on the NRA website. You need 360 shots minimum to get a permanent classification card in that discipline.
