A Dallas auto body shop owner shot a man in the head early Tuesday after alleged burglars drove a vehicle into the business and started loading items.

The security alarm sounded around 6:30 a.m. at Underground Custom Body Works in the 6500 block of Hunnicut Road, Dallas police Senior Cpl. Janice Crowther said.

The alarm company notified the owner, and he went to the shop and confronted two men taking items.

“Either one or both men fired at the owner and the owner returned fire and struck one burglar in the head,” Senior Cpl. Crowther said.

The man was taken to Baylor Medical Center. His condition was unknown. The owner detained the other man at gunpoint until police arrived.

The names of the men have not been released and police were investigating, Senior Cpl. Crowther said.

Someone forgot the 2 to the body one to the head rule, lather rinse repeat.:D
