Burned brass and other anomalies

Common with old, designed for black powder, pistol or rifle case. Too much case capacity for modern smokeless powders. Unless your loading for a specific velocity/foot pounds of energy switch to TrailBoss no more problems.

What most of this boils down to is as long as you stay under the 1250 fps per Berry's , your bullets are happy.
You keep your pressure under the SAAMI standard of MAP of 14,000 psi pressure your gun is happy.
If VV N340 will stay under SAAMI MAP (Maximum Average Pressure) (14k) with the 9.2-9.8 load that VV receipted for 250gr jacketed bullets, then you can surely go up to the minimum load of the jacketed data (9.2 gr) with no problems with your plated bullets.

243 Winxb, you totally lost me on your post. What are you saying here?
Your example of this
index.php

is showing that the lead bullet is taking more powder than the full metal jacket is taking. We know that is because the lead bullet has less friction and takes more powder to get the correct pressure to make velocity.
How are you correlating this to plated, in between lead and jacketed?
