I had my auto darkening sunglasses on my dash, they darkened then they lightened to a white milkey can't see through color.

hmmm..

you could sell that idea on Ebay. Instead of getting a business name tattooed for money, you could start a branding trend!

:neener::neener:

Glad you isn't scarred for life mon.. :what:

Don't you know you could have been thrown in jail for carrying in a bank?! Did you ask permission first??? :neener:

And don't forget, pain is just weakness leaving the body. You are a stronger man now!

I've been there man...too many times. I live in South Florida too, and have a car with a black dash. Tint helps overall, but not much on the dash, those mirrored sun shades help, but are a pain.

I've experienced something similar with an all-black steel 1911, but I'm a DAILY victim of being burned with the seat belts and my all-metal shift knob. It's scary.

You guys up in North in the cold don't know how good you have it.

Nevermind!

Was out shooting in the Southern Nevada desert in the middle of summer, around 130 degrees air temp in the sun. Shot a couple (5 or 6) 30 rd mags through my Mak90 in less than 10 mins and set the gun down on the truck tailgate. Went to pick up my Ruger P89 (i think) and brushed my hand across the Mak90 barrel.

You'd think i'd be used to being burned, being an asphaltic paver and all, but I wasn't. Still have scars from that day.

Lived in AZ desert my whole life, you get used to taking precautions. One easy one is the reflective sunshade you deploy over the inside of the window. Excellent sun fighter. Ditto on the high sweat shield, and THICK. You will need that extra insulation.
