After some internet research I'm seriously considering buying this scope with the Mil Ballistic reticule for my Win Model 70 LR .300 WinMag. I have no personnel experience shooting beyond 200 yards but I would like to eventually reach out and touch 1,000 yard targets. Your inputs would be appreciated.

I have an older Black Diamond in 3x12x50. It is perhaps the clearest scope I have, including B&L 4000's and Leupold VX-III's. I have a Signature Select that I bought locally. While adequate, it is not as clear as a Black Diamond.
I watch e-bay. There are some there most all the time for about the price I paid for the Signature Select 3 years ago.
For 1,000 yards, you will most likely not have enough elevation adjustment. I use Burris Zee rings with .020 offset inserts. These give plenty of elevation and are probably the most inexpensive option that works well.
