I am looking for a compact red dot scope to mount on my M4 flat top. I have a YHM folding rear sight and the standard front sight. I want the scope to allow using the fixed sights in the event of battery failure. I am interested in these two scopes mentioned above as they are in my price range of ~$200. I especially like the adjustable dot of the Nikon. I currently have a Kobra EKP-8-14 on it but it sits way too high to allow iron sights.
I would be interested in any comments related to my question as I have not personally used either scope. If there are other alternative similar scopes, I would like to be advised of them too.
