I bought a 4X Fullfield
rifle scope about 1989. Worked great. Then one day, when the barreled action was in the vise for cleaning, a neighbor walked into it, knocking it to the concrete floor where it landed, of course, on the scope. There was a huge dent in the ocular end.
Took it to the range a week later. No loss of zero. Worked fine ever since, took some deer, shot some sub-MOA groups in my 03A3. Finally, last fall, 17 years after purchase and 16 after the damage, while hunting in a downpour, water got into the works and it fogged up. It's en route to Burris now, who have cheerily offered to fix it.
I'm sold on Burris.
