Bushing and Barrel fit?

Cheat :)

I've fitted a lot of barrels and bushings for 1911s, it gets old fast. The barrel has to be able to cam properly and still lock up in the front.

The last two bushings I put in were Briley Spherical bushings. Measure the outside diameter of your barrel and round up to the nearest thousandth (.001) Then add .001 to that and order the Briley drop in bushing for that size. It should fit right in, and they are as accurate as any national match bushing I've ever fitted.

It's worth the extra $25 to have something that drops right in and you never have to worry about being off center, camming the barrel itself, having lockup issues, etc.

On the Kart NM barrel or any 70 series profile barrel where there is a step down behind the muzzle to support the older castleated bushings, you have to taper that step into a smooth ramp, then it will work perfectly.

just my two cents, your mileage may vary, but I've had it work perfectly on two guns and my Para Ord LDA is next in line for a Briley :)
