I see that these two websites now redirect to Remington. Some sort of consolidation going on?

Remington is getting out of the AR market. They quietly quite making Remington branded ARs about a year ago. Late last year they blew out all the Bushmaster and DPMS inventory with big sales on both brands websites and sold a ton of other parts off to CDNN and similar discount retailers. Now they have shut down both websites. Add Bushmaster and DPMS to the list of brands Remington Outdoor Company has killed along with Para Ordnance, H&R, and probably a few I have forgotten. They are going FUDD.

ETA: Almost forgot they killed TAPCO too.

:what::eek:

Does this mean there will be no more DPMS, and Bushmaster ARs? I guess Windham Weapon is really the new Bushmaster ....
I won't mourn Tapco, all I have is a 30 year old Tapco scope for my .22 rifle that sits unused on a shelf.

I wonder if they are going to even stay in the 1911 market. Slides and such are starting to show up on CDNN.

I'm upset, nay pissed, that they seem to have dropped all the double stack 1911 pistols from the website. BTW, their website is horrible.

I strongly suspect there will be little or no ARs produced under either brand or by any of the Remington Outdoor Company brands including Remington Defense for the foreseeable future.

CDNN is selling a lot of Bushmaster/DPMS parts. Aren't they normally a clearing house for overstocked or discontinued items?
