Does it actually work though?
Ran 12 round thru it, that was all I could stand with this headache today, but YES it worked
like it was supposed to in the first place. All we had to do was get a solid lift to the front of the
magazine and it never failed to function, every round fed easy after every shot, full mag to
start, it has never done a full mag - ever.

If you look at the previous photo of the magazine attachment, it has only the one hole in
the entire 5BMG magazine, with an AR type release as CapnMac mentioned, seems they
thought that could hold up a 6-pound magazine of ammo, just guessing on weight.
It needs support front and rear, form the factory.
But as I probably said I got this one a month before the company folded, that has
been my luck.

It came with two, 10 round magazines, and both act the same, I hope it is
just the mags.
If the Mags can't fix it, I will just get rid of it.
A standard single shot 50BMG is about half the price of this single shot.
Left-handed bolt, standard issue, is made to stay on target is a JOKE! Not unless someone else is dropping
rounds in, freehand for me.
By the way, my son says I have more than $3 Grand in ammo, and he has bought another Grand, plus
the I bought the $1,200 scope, that runs close to $$$ 10 GRAND $$$, in this JUNK BUSHMASTER.
Sorry, sometimes the real me pops out.
Probably sounds stupid, but did you check the magazine, follower and spring to make sure everything is assembled properly. Everybody working on an assembly line had a first day, and things slip past QC checks all thr time.

Just a thought....

Yep I sure did, I am pretty sure they are both Magpul per booklet and they look like it, they
have been the, go to, mag for fixing this type of problem for me on other semi autos.
But the mags look perfect inside, and I first thought the mags were the problem, but no.
Thanks for the thought.

It almost sounds like a rock-n-lock style magazine would be better suited. I've never seen a mag fed 50BMG in person, but I figure that's probably how Barrett makes theirs.

Having spent a decade working in manufacturing QC, this is absolutely true.
I was in charge of QC myself, the last 5 years of my career with a major corporation. This is a failure that should have shown up during testing the product.
There is no excuse for it. -BUSHMASTER-
Barrett didn't reach perfection easily but finally did. I imagine a semi auto 50 has to
be much harder to develop than a bolt action.
If you look at this bolt action rifle, it is so magnified in parts, that it even looks easily achieved. -just in an amateur look that is.

Oh certainly it's a design issue.

The parts could all be well within spec, but the rifle won't work. That's an R&D issue, not QC's fault.

Like I said, should have shown up in testing the product.
Doesn't matter now.
Must find a gunsmith that can come up with a fix, may end up with 2 mag release positions or something
as simple as, i think, someone mentioned adding mass to the mag to prevent the forward drop without
making it difficult to insert the mag.
Beyond me.
If I get real world solution, I will post it.
Thanks for all the info.
