I bought a new 762x39 ar from bushmaster this fall. After reading on hear about all the bolt troubles with that round in an ar i contacted bushmaster. I told them i had no problems spending a 100 bucks on a good aftermarket bolt if it was needed. They go back to me this morning. The rep told me that they have yet to have a bolt failure with a 762x39 or a 450 which uses the same bolt. They said none have been returned for warantee yet and in all the testing they did with both of those rounds they didnt have a bit of problem with there bolts. Now i dont know if bushmaster is using a better bolt then some of the others or not but apparently there not seeing a problem. I still want to get an extra bolt. I keep a couple around for the other ars and would feel better with on for this gun too.
