Busy Scopes

Those would have the same function, but are they the same quality? The scope I sent them cost about $180 almost 50 years ago. The one they are sending me costs about $300 today.

I until recently owned a Vari-X II 3-9x and looked through the VX-Freedom 3-9x's (send most of the others).

The Freedoms have much better glass and adjustments.

My VX-Freedom 4-12X40 side focus has outstanding glass for its price.

My buddy shoots long distance rifle competition and is good at it. This past deer season he killed a fat whitetail doe at 350 yds through the heart. We shoots on the prairies of central Kansas where long shots are typical. For him, a 350 shot at a stationary fist size target is almost a slam dunk. At least he makes it seem that way. He shoots with great confidence, which he developed with lots of practice and knowing his equipment, a custom built 6.5CM. For many, a 350 yd shot is a Hail Mary. The down side is he promised me the heart, my favorite part of eating venison
