Buying a Manufacturers SBR?

TanklessPro I have found a LGS that has a Sig SBR, built by Sig. When purchased does it require engraving? Do you just fill out the forms, wait for stamp, and pick up your SBR?
Form 1- when YOU make the firearm. (ie cut the bbl or install a short barrel)
Form 4- when an NFA firearm is transferred from one person to another.

Nope. The wait is the same and the cost is the same for an SBR. If you buy one, the dealer submits the Form 4. If you make one, you submit the Form 1.

The main difference is that factory SBRs seem to cost a premium over the sum of their parts, or their 16" counterparts.

Also, buying a factory sbr means the dealer gets your full purchase price six to 9 months or more before you get your rifle.

Amen to that Elessar. I hate paying such high prices for cans and SBRs and waiting 9-12 mos. for the stamps. Lucky my dealer has a range so I can go shoot them while the BATFE wheels of progress slowly churn.
