Buying a used handgun

Hello:

Obviously new here.

Well, I wanted to ask if there were any good sites online or sellers on ebay that sell used handguns?

Specifically the Sig Sauer P229

Also, if it is better to buy at a store, how do you know if they are selling a quality gun or not?

Checkout your Local Gun Store first. They don't usually buy cheap or broken guns. Even better is if they have a gun range where you can try before you buy.

As far as I know, eBay will not allow firearms. Gunbroker.com is very popular. As already suggested, it is always best to test one first before you buy. Good luck

Check your local shop. SIG has a good certified pre-owned program. Take a look at these. There will be a SIG CPO tag wrapped around the grip. They are a good amount less than a new one and I've seen some that look really good for the money.

E-Bay used to allow them until probably 6 or 7 years ago. They had some spectacular out of production guns come up on there.
Gunbroker is probably the most popular. There is also AuctionArms and GunsAmerica.
Use those sites to get an idea what the one you want is going for, then check local shops first.
