Does buying guns make you feel good?

I know it makes me feel good and shooting them even makes me feel better. Nothing like a day at the range when all your groups touch each other and the gun does not malfunction.

Now I'm feeling a little depressed :( Looks like its about that time to see the shrink (gunshop) and maybe he can prescribe me a good anti-depressant (a decent priced handgun)

In the meantime...

I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And dog-gone it, people like me :D

Guilty as charged. I've bought more than a few toys as a present to myself for getting a good grade or as a way to cheer myself up after doing horribly on an exam, or just as a way of congradulating myself for surviving finals week.
Last night, I spent $180 on tools and US parts to assemble the (non-I/O) FAL kit I stashed away for a rainy day because I barely passed a Heat & Mass Transfer test by the skin of my teeth and needed a boost. I'm meeting with my FFL on Wednesday to start the paperwork on the reciever.

Yes they're theraputic. It's called relaxation and stress control.

"I'm as happy as a little girl" [/Sprockets impression]
I just plunked down the change on a Savage .223. For my birthday, I thought I'd buy myself a little somethin special...:)

Kharn, real quick, how 'bout deriving the Navier-Stokes equation, thanks.
:D

Navier-Stokes were last semester in Fluid Mechanics, already forgot them (and tests were open book, so I never had to entirely memorize them). Sorry. :neener:
I think I'll go buy some .308 to make up for that... :D

A good range session is the best way to blow off steam after a bad week at work of putting up with those ignorant :cuss: :banghead:

Sorry. Time to pack up the range bag.:D

and a heck of alot cheaper than the real thing too . (going rate for a therapist is $220 an hour around here ... but on second thought I think I spent that in ammo I burned up in a half an hour last week.......:D)

Gun shows, range time, shooting, cleaning guns, repairing guns, talking about guns, it's all good! Makes me feel better every time.
I'm in a need for a gun buy treatment for the stress!

Does buying guns make you feel good?

Yes Yes it does the problem is...
every gun I buy keeps me happy for less time then the one before

I don't have enough money to support my Therapy

I guess the theropy for me is purchasing ammo which is cheaper than new Hardware.
So far just a few new boxes of ammo do the trick, followed by a trip to the range to make sure that what I bought all work. ...

I do like the take down and cleaning. Love the smell of the cleaning chemicals, reminds me of weapon cleaning times in the Army. . After qualifications and range days, the whole company cleaning.. Strange I know but my .02$

I feel guilty after buying ammo and accessories...but I feel damn good after buying a gun!!!
