I purchased 500 rnds of 10mm BVAC Ammo from Cheaper than dirt. Came promptly and looked good. Couple of days ago BVAC called me to warn me they had loaded them hot and not to fire them in a Glock or Colt Delta. When I told them I was using a S&W 1076 they told me not to worry about it.

The 1076 is stronger? I loaded mine too hot and blew part of the case out at the feed ramp. Didn't damage the gun at all though.

The S&W is brutally strong the only thing tougher might be the 'Megastar'.

Well this stinks. I have a 250 round box or BVAC waiting to be shot. I should be ok with my S&W 610 but I'll call them just to make sure.

Mine involved Armscor ammo but when I looked up a phone number it rang into BVAC. I do believe they make the Ammo for Armscor but the people on the phone wouldn't own up to it. I had a case split with a 1230 FPS/610 LB box of performers. Most of the Armscor brass had straitions too. My Witness has the same support as your 1076 but it split! In a 610 you may fare a little better but still?
The guy I spoke with on the phone today said shoot 10 more and let me know if it splits again. Yea okay.

It's sad because BVAC/Armscor are going backwards watering it down to a claimed 1100 FPS instead of just using good brass and/or figuring out the load. The guy today said this "hot load" had 7 grains of powder.

And here we were worried the government was watching us. Apparently there's some kind of ammo registration and BVAC is able to track every box sold to the phone number of the guy that bought it. :)

I can see them letting their distributers (CTD) know they let a bad batch out, butit's hard to imagine CTD gave them the phone number of every buyer. I don't want the retailers I buy from to give my personal information to anybody.
