Just curious if anyone else here is from the Sac area and hunts the Yolo Bypass. I'm trying to get back into waterfowling and I've heard that Yolo Bypass has some of the best hunting around here. Finally got around to buying my license last week and was hoping to get out before the end of the season. Just curious if anyone around here hunts there, and if so, if you might be willing to take me along with you - I'd be glad to drive or buy you a thank you dinner!

You can put in for a reservation or lotto. Right now its not so hot. No birds, very little shooting. Wouldn't exactly call it "hot" although you can have good days there. Last seasons average was 1.6 birds per hunter. You cannot just go out and hunt. Head over to the check station and talk to the wardens and they will give you the current averages/harvests.
