Cabelas Fixed Bladed Knives

I am trying to find a good, solid, 6"+ fixed bladed knife.

So I need ya'lls opinion on the Stag Hunter knives sold by Cabelas.

Abother one that I am looking at is a full size Ka-Bar, and would like to hear it about those as well.

+1 on ESEE knives. They are incredibly durable and have the best warranty around. I'd suggest you take a look at them!

Tell us what you want to use the knife for?
Traditional or "tactical"? Plain or pretty? Stainless or tool steel? Wet or dry use? Field knife, hunting knife, skinning knife, camp knife, fighter or what?

There's a wide world of cutlery out there and if we have a better idea of what you need/want we can provide better advice.

Oh, and price range.

Yea, sorry about that, price range is less then $100 and my use will be... well, I do not know, nothing to do with fishing. Just hunting and gerneral outdoor use, I will not be skinning any animal either with this knife.
