Did everyone get one of these today?

This gigantic Hardback Catalog is so big it was sitting on top of my mailbox. I wasn't even expecting anything like this. Thanks Cabela's ! :D

Not long ago I read where someone had to pay shipping for a catalog from a major supplier of handloading gear.

Not me but i get all kinds of other catalogs from them. My dad says he got one which has me concerned because I spend more money there than he does.

I got a book-bound one in 2005.
Never any since then.
Just tons of paperback catalogs

Probably haven't spent enough money there lately.

I've got their 2008 shooting and reloading catalog, prices on bullets/primers/powders are rediculous, $120/1000 for Ranier, $30/1000 for primers, $120/8lbs of Unique. I can do much better on this stuff at www.midwayusa.com or the local gun show's/Sportsmans Warehouse.:D

Cabela's beats Midway's shipping hands down. I buy my powder and primers locally but due buy some Rainier bullets from Cabela's.

I got one in the mail today too.

I have not spent that much money there, or at least I thought so.

Guess I spent enough. Maybe 500 bucks from june 07 to June 08??

Two of them purchases were BP revolvers.

Doubt I will get anywhere near 5 bills this year

I did find it funny that it is the limited edition and is near 1500 pages long. I wonder how many pages are in the unlimited catalogue?

Bummer, I spent over a grand there last year (reloading supplies, ammo, gun parts, knives, etc) but I went to one of the retail stores and paid with cash. I still just get the cruddy catalogs.

You guys spend too much at Cabelas, how do you think they afford to send those catalogs out and have those fancy stores. Their stuff is sky high, especially reloading stuff. There are a lot of mailorder companies out there that are better.

The bad part is if you have a store in your state. You get to pay shipping and tax on top of their high prices. I get my powder and primers from Powder Valley and misc stuff from Midway. If you hit one of their many sales you can do alright. I just don't get handgun bullets in bulk from them since they ship by weight.

Well I buy in the retail store, not online. I like going there, it's a fun place to kill a few hours, so I don't mind spending money there when the prices aren't too out of line. They also sell benchmade knives (some exclusive ones too) which I like.

Got mine yesterday. It was so nice I wanted to put it in the den wall bookcase ;) but it will be obsolete next year. They must own the publishing company to afford such quality in a catalog. Makes me look at it and that makes me want to buy more stuff. That must be the point.

i got mine great stuff in that catalog. you just have to remember to check the website in case prices have increased and availbility
