Ok so Century is selling Colt 1927/Ballester magazines on the cheap. What kind of quality, reliability and condition could one expect from these?

Both guns used Colt magazines so they should work in 1911-1911-A1 pistols, or clones thereof. The original quality was good, although the metal was a little on the soft side - same as Colt's of this period. The lips are formed to feed hardball and may, or may not work well with different ammunition. If you shoot ball, and they are inexpensive you give them a try.

OK but. The ones I have seen are in need of cleaning, new Woff +10% springs and the followers have been worn. I suggest buying Triple K for budget mags. Shooting Star for a quality mag.

Well the only reason I was really looking at them was because CTD screwed up my order and sent me 6 officer shooting star mags instead of 6 regulars. Just wanted to try and get something quick and cheap while things got sorted out with them.
