So I was able to go to the range today with my Tantal. Overall I was pretty happy. I did some shooting from 50 yds, with wolf, silver bear, tula and hornaday vmax.
First off, I don't believe there was any keyholing. I'll post some pictures of some shots I took. I was not really shooting for groups, mostly just to break in, and make sure of no keyholing. The paper ripped a little where the shots where, but it was wet due to rain, once again, i do not believe there were any keyholes. I'll let you look at the pics.
Only problem I had was with TUla. fired one shot, it didn't eject. had to use a rod to get the shell out. I won't use that again. Silver bear gave me the best groupings. Best was about 1.5 in at 50 yards. Let me know what you think.

I also had a question. As I was cleaning the gun I noticed a very small scratch inside the barrel near the chamber. Is this a big deal? It was very small, and may have been from the cleaning rod or from the rod I used to get the stuck shell out.

Your targets show a lot of what many folks call "keyholing" caused by not having a stiff enough backing behind the paper.

I glad you seem to know the difference!

Right, plus the wet paper makes a tear easier. And on that not, when I shot at a stick on plastic (like) target, the holes were perfect. Completely perfect.
I'm just glad the gun works like it's supposed to.
