Anyone following whats going on in right now in California?? The CalGuns Foundation is making a ton of noise, and just announced they have already begun going after the CCW Policies of EVERY County in the State.
For those unfamiliar with how bad California is (for some odd reason:what:), the Sheriff gets to use their discretion on who to issue licenses too.
Many Counties such as LA and San Francisco only issue to Judges, Police/reserves.....oh, and of course your Hollywood A Listers!
The average joe requesting to protect their family is stuck with Unloaded Open Carry! :fire:

Sacramento County was that first that folded under the pressure just a few weeks ago!
Now, I do think it will be several years before the Foundation is able to force the state to be more like "Real America," but as a Life long California Resident, I think its a damn good start!!

Here is the link to the CalGuns Foundation

They also have an option to assist them in the fight by Sponsoring a County if anyone is interested in making a 100% tax deductible donation!!

Here in MD the SAF has sued MD for their "may issue" policy of requiring good and substancial reason before issuing a very restrictive permit.

Wisely the SAF is approaching this aa a civil rights issue which will result in case law that is rock solid and will require strict scrutiny

I understand the Cal Guns is kicking arse's in Nordyke even as I type this.

Go Cal Guns go !

Oh yeah, its been a good last couple weeks to say the least. I am in SoCal and was not able to attend the hearing, nor participate in the dinner party after wards. With sooo many gun regs, and zero affect on crime + strict scrutiny, I don't think they will have any issues shoving freedom into the throats of our lovely Anti Politicians!!

If CGF had been around and active a few years ago, I may have stayed and tried to help the fight. 'Course, getting rid of the California Approved Handgun Roster should go hand in hand with lobbying for Shall Issue.

Go CalGuns go! :)

See Pena V. Cid for the handgun roster. The CGF has an excellent group of Plantiffs. 1 guy wants a Bi tone glock IIRC, HOWEVER he does not have a right arm, so he needs a left handed gun...the left handed gun is BANNED!! There are a couple others, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Its essentially just a cosmetic thing, and the Manufactures have to pay some fee for each gun they do sell. Its still in the court Doldrums, waiting for the go ahead. I suspect and easy win!!

Sansone, California is already tired of Boxer, I think she is going to be beat out by Carly Fiorina. Pelosi won't leave until she is dead. But with all the Botox she does....its gotta be soon!

ETA: Oh and they are challenging the Ammo Ban (AB 962) as well, which is supposed to go into affect come February.

Thanks for the support!! Yeah, the Paypal issue kinda made me think, but GPal is not exactly quite ready to go. Being a Non profit, I wonder if they can avoid the fees???

CGF is definitely indeed leading the way, and they are very close to forcing Sheriff's to comply with the law. Soon we will be a "virtual shall issue" state, and it WON'T happen in the Legislature.

Erik.
